General Terms and Conditions

Object and purpose of the contract


The purpose of the agreement is to determine the conditions under which Kotihandi Oy provides cleaning services to the Customer. The object of the agreement is a private home or company office specified by the Customer.


Contract period


The agreement enters into force after the customer has accepted the general terms and conditions, an oral or written offer or order confirmation sent by e-mail, for example. By accepting the terms, the Customer confirms that he has provided sufficient and correct information about the object so that Kotihandi Oy can perform the ordered service in accordance with the agreed schedules and work instructions.


For one-time cleaning, eg (Home cleaning, office cleaning, Airbnb cleaning, moving cleaning, final cleaning, large cleaning and window cleaning), the contract is valid in accordance with the terms of the ordered service. With regard to regular and regular cleaning, eg once a week, the contract is valid until further notice.


Services


Kotihandi Oy performs the services specified in the order at the site in accordance with the customer's order. The service will be performed within the time limits specified by Kotihandi Oy's assessment. The customer must provide Kotihandi Oy with the necessary information about the site in order to be able to perform the service

effectively and ensure that employees have access to the site to perform the service.


For non-recurring services, such as moving cleaning, final cleaning, window cleaning or moving services, order the Customer from the Homehandi Oy for service time in hours. Kotihandi Oy does not undertake to deliver a specific service package, but a service for the ordered amount of time at the site. If the service cannot be completed within the estimated time, a possible additional time will be agreed with the Customer before starting additional work. If the customer is not willing to increase the working time, the work will be performed to the extent that the time estimated for the work is sufficient. If Kotihandi Oy's schedules do not allow additional working time to continue, the work will only be performed within the pre-ordered or estimated time.


In regular weekly contract cleaning, Kotihandi Oy undertakes to deliver the service package within the pre-agreed time or within the framework of a one-time fee.


Complaint


The Customer must complain in writing about any deficiencies found in regular contract cleaning, eg via e-mail or a website form, within 48 hours of the completion of the work, otherwise the work will be deemed accepted by the Customer. Any deficiencies will be rectified by Kotihandi Oy without additional charge within five working days of the complaint.



One-off services The customer undertakes to arrive on site after the service has been completed to check and approve the work. The customer is also obliged to report any deficiencies in the service during the inspection. If the customer does not report the deficiencies the next day, and within a maximum of five days (in the case of removal services), the cleaning will be deemed approved. Kotihandi Oy notifies the customer of the completion of the work so that the customer has the opportunity to come to the site to check and approve the work.


Prices, billing and changes in service fees


The prices of the services are in accordance with the valid price list. The customer undertakes pricing when accepting the order conditions, order confirmation or offer and when paying for the service. Prices include VAT at the current VAT rate, excluding VAT-free services.


In one-off services, payment is made either through the payment service in connection with the service order, or with the most common payment cards at the destination.

The regular service will be charged at the time of ordering or after the visit, if the customer uses a general payment card as a payment method. Kotihandi Oy reserves the right to change prices and contract terms during the contract period. The price will always be reviewed on the 1st of January next. This check is done automatically. Changes in the service fee or contract terms will be notified to the customer as soon as possible after their grounds have been clarified.


Termination, transfer or cancellation, one-time cleaning.


For one-off services, the Customer has the right to terminate, transfer or cancel the agreement by notifying Kotihandi Oy in writing. Termination, deferral or cancellation of the agreement is possible two (2) days before the start of the service. If you cancel, or postpone the service within two (2) days of the agreed performance of the service, Kotihandi reserves the right to invoice the customer for 50% of the corresponding service in accordance with the valid price list. Kotihandi undertakes to return the services paid in advance by the customer in connection with the order within two (2) weeks of the termination or cancellation.


In case of single cleaning, Kotihandi Oy reserves the right to terminate or cancel the contract in writing immediately without notice. Termination, transfer or cancellation regular Home Cleaning The Customer and Kotihandi Oy have the right to terminate the agreement with one (1) month's notice. The cancellation must be notified in writing, for example by e-mail or text message. The contract customer has the right to postpone or cancel the cleaning 48 hours before the cleaning without charge, otherwise Kotihandi Oy has the right to charge one hour for the service not performed.


Force majeure


Kotihandi Oy is not responsible for non-fulfillment or delay of contractual obligations caused by force majeure, such as a labor dispute, riot, natural disaster, power or telecommunications outage, etc., beyond its control. Congestion, traffic accidents, employee illnesses and communicable diseases are also considered to be force majeure.


Confidence


All Kotihandi Oy's employees and partners are bound by professional secrecy, on the basis of which they cannot disclose any matter related to the Customer or his or her personal circumstances that they have become aware of. The obligation of confidentiality shall continue to apply after the termination of this Agreement. Kotihandi Oy does not disclose the Customer's information to third parties, except for those partners whose contribution is necessary for the performance of the service.


Privacy


Kotihandi complies with the provisions of the Personal Data Act and good data processing practice in processing its customer register. The customer has the right to prohibit the use of the information for Kotihandi Oy's marketing purposes by notifying it in writing.


Liability and insurance


Kotihandi Oy is liable for direct damage to property and persons that can be shown to have been caused by the activities of Kotihandi Oy or Kotihandi Oy's partners in providing services, but not if the damage is caused by the unsuitability of tools or cleaning agents indicated by the Customer. And also if the Customer requests the handling of heavy furniture during cleaning, eg sofas, tables, refrigerators, washing machines, etc. Kotihandi Oy is not liable for indirect damages under any circumstances.


The liability for damages, the extent of liability and its limitations are determined in accordance with the terms of Kotihandi Oy's liability insurance.


Conflict resolution


Disputes arising from this Agreement shall be settled by negotiation between the Parties. If the mediation fails, disputes concerning the agreement will be resolved in the Helsinki District Court.
